Eight people, including four children, sustained injuries in a road traffic accident at Teye-Kwame on the Tema–Akosombo Highway after a Toyota Hiace passenger vehicle with registration number GN 9112 - 25 overturned following a rear tyre burst.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said firefighters from the Kpong Fire Station on Thursday, August 6 responded promptly to the incident after the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to somersault.

The injured, comprising four adults and four children, were rescued from the wreckage before being transported to Kings and Queens Hospital at Akuse Junction for medical treatment.

The GNFS urged motorists to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy, particularly by regularly checking the condition of their tyres, to help prevent similar accidents.
