Dr Okrah further observed strengthening partnerships between regulators and private sector operators is critical to unlocking the full potential of Ghana’s Tree Crops Sector.
According to him, the mango value chain holds significant promise for job creation, foreign exchange earnings and rural development, particularly when processing and value addition are prioritized.
The engagement also touched on the importance of coordinated efforts across the supply chain, from farmers and aggregators to processors and exporters to ensure quality, traceability and sustainability.
