The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Doha has directed Ghanaians living in Qatar to remain indoors until further notice following a missile attack in the Qatari capital.

The Embassy issued the advisory in a statement released on Saturday, February 28.

It said that the directive was prompted by heightened tensions in the region and the reported impact of a missile in Doha.

“Due to the missile attack and its impact in Doha, please take shelter until further notice and obtain information from official sources,” the statement said.

The Embassy urged citizens to avoid military installations and crowded areas, and to minimise exposure to any potential danger.
